Home NAS & Backups Communities
Distribution channels where this audience already asks questions and shares recommendations. Use them to validate demand before writing, and to seed your own community later.
Channel by channel
r/synology and r/DataHoarder contain device and recovery discussions. A public setup thread asks about JBOD, RAID 1 and migration; treat it as a qualitative example, not representative demand. Answer configuration questions fully and respect community promotion rules.

Forums
HighVendor and TrueNAS forums expose compatibility issues and failed assumptions. Read exact model and software versions; a thread from another version is not proof a current model has the same limitation.
