All my stats took a dive in March. Overall website traffic dropped, and so did everything else. Don’t count me out, though–I still made some good money. One stat that did not drop this month: number of websites. I managed to build 7 new EPN websites in March.

Looking forward, I expect April’s earnings to be about the same as March’s. Maybe a bit higher if I start getting more clicks on my new sites. For April, my goal is to build one new EPN site per day. I’ve streamlined the process and it takes me only 1 to 2 hours to get a new site up and running. Lately, about half of my new sites are pure OneLung Thin sites and half are hybrid OneLung sites with some Auction2Post listings added.

Here are March’s statistics:

For each statistic listed below, the second number is the change from last month’s number.

Thanks for sharing Mike. Good luck this month.

My traffics drop almost one third in March. Must be Google algo change. I am start wondering if OLT still works under the new algo.

  4. Tony H says:

Hi Jack. I think the new algo has had a minor effect on OLT sites. I have been reading the posts in the OLT forum and there has been very little outcry against the new algo.

My earnings were actually up in March by about 30%. Been building ultrathin sites but those are slow to show up maybe due to new domains. On my older A2P sites, I havent deleted any of the older auctions and the sites are taking up a lot of space now. Do you delete your expired a2p posts Tony?

  6. Tony H says:

Hi KC. Good news your earnings were up! At first on my A2P sites I did not delete old auctions. Some of them grew to 20,000-30,000 posts. This slowed down the website speed considerably. Now on all my A2P sites I do delete all expired auction posts. Because many of the deleted posts continue to be indexed by Google, Googlers will click on them and see my 404-error page instead. I’ve tried to take advantage of this by placing 8 phpbay SEKW listings near the top of my 404 page followed by about 30 phpbay site-specific keyword listings. At one time earlier this year probably about 1/2 of my EPN clicks were coming from these 404-error pages.

Good tip on 404 pages. Do you think that Ebay still gives us credit for clicks on expired A2P posts? I started building pure ultrathin sites and am seeing clicks but the winning bid ratio is really low compared to my thick sites. If this continues, I may go back to building more of a hybrid instead.

Hi KC. I don’t know this for sure, but I would be very doubtful that eBay gives credit for clicks on expired A2P posts. However, due to the cookie, you might get credit for future purchases made on eBay. Do any readers know how this works?

Hey guys, my March was about normal, however this months EPN earnings are in the toilet! My traffic is the same (so it’s not a Google thing) and my clicks to Ebay are about the same, it’s just Ebay isn’t paying me very well for the traffic I’m sending them this month. I used to earn 18 EPC, not I’m down to only 9 EPC (about half).

One other thing I noticed, is Ebay listings have recently become more SEO optimized and aren’t lagging that far below my own listings in the SERPs now.. I wonder if Ebay is crediting the earnings I generate back to themselves..?

Anyone else having a crappy April?
