How to include SEKW listings on your niche site’s 404 error page.
Posted on January 7th, 2011 by Tony H in OneLung Thin SiteIf you’re familiar with the OneLung Thin method for developing “thin” ePN niche sites, you’ve probably read about SEKW (Search Engine Key Word) listings and know how to incorporate them into your WordPress blog’s posts.
I know how to place SEKW listings on my posts and pages, but until yesterday, I couldn’t figure out how to make them work on my 404 error page. I spent a couple hours last night using trial-and-error trying to figure this out.
(Its probably obvious, but I know just few PHP basics and I everything I do is by trial-and-error. Rather than spending hours figuring things out, maybe I should invest in some PHP training, but I digress…)
Anyway, I thought I’d go to to the OneLung Thin Forum and ask for help. Lo and behold, someone had already asked. Thanks flyingboy!
So, thanks to Dan the Admin, if you are a OneLung member, you can read about the solution here: http://www.onelungthin.com/forum/the-thin-lounge/how-to-leverage-the-old-indexed-pages/
Once again, my membership in the OneLung Thin Site Master Course saves the day! If you are not a member, and you develop eBay Partner Network websites and you use phpBay, I encourage you to consider signing up for the course. I even use some of the thin-site techniques for my not-so-thin websites. This stuff is great!
