Thanks to Sam at WPcontempo.com!

I had applied to join the eBay Partner Network several times, but I had been rejected each time. Looking back, I realize that the websites which I submitted were really weak–new blogs with little content. I really wanted to join, but I was stuck–unsure how to move forward. Then early this summer I happened upon WPcontempo.com and I read Sam’s great post How to Get Accepted by Ebay Partner Network.

I took his advice and reapplied. He said that eBay was looking for sites with lots of good content, a good amount of traffic, and a community of people who use your website frequently. This time I submitted my article directory.

It was accepted! I was really happy when I posted this comment on Sam’s WPcontempo site:

Finally, I’ve been accepted by EPN! This was my third try since January. Previously, they rejected my newly-created blog which I acknowledge was a weak website. EPN also rejected a different WordPress site which at that time was basically an empty blog using the WP Commerce Steel theme–this also was a weak website. On my third attempt, I submitted my article directory website OnlineArticleSource.com. Since I created it in late February, it has about 750 registered authors and about 6400 articles. Before submitting it, I removed all the advertising except for one BlueHost add and one affiliate link per page. Boom! Accepted! I am excited to start using some of the suggestions here on WP Contempo.

So, if you have tried but were rejected by EPN, you might want to try this:

  1. Create an article directory website (one like OnlineArticleSource.com). I used Article Friendly Pro article publishing script to create mine.
  2. Sign up for several free article distribution services. These services will automatically send articles to your website each day. It might take a few weeks or less to build up 5,000-10,000 articles from hundreds of authors. I have used these free article services:  Article United, Article Marketer, and iSnare.
  3. Wait until your directory contains a good number of articles and authors, then re-apply to join EPN.
  4. Be patient. For some folks/websites it could take two weeks or longer for to make a determination.

Good luck!

  1. That is a great idea on how to get into EPN. I got in during the switch from CJ to EPN. So I never had to worry about it. Many people ask me this and I never really have an answer. Now i can direct them to your post and back to wpcontempo.com. By the way thanks for the link back to my site in the blogroll!
