Did you update your phpBay websites yet?

I received this email today from the developer of phpBay Pro:

Hi
EPN recently announced on their blog, changes to how affiliate links should be sent to Ebay. EPN announced that incoming affiliate links that are redirected should use a 301 redirect. By default, in phpBay Pro when using seo_urls, links are sent as 302 redirects.

The good news is, only the auction.php file is affected, so you will only need to replace this file on your sites (if using any 3.x version).

There are two ways you can obtain the new auction.php file:

1) Login to your store account and download the latest .zip file(s) for phpBay Pro for Wordpress and/or phpBay Pro API. This email is being sent from the phpBay Pro store to all phpBay Pro customers.

2) Login to the support forums using your forum account and visit this thread for discussion (optional, only if interested in seeing other’s comments or discussing).

This update, the auction.php, affects both the Wordpress and API versions of phpBay Pro. You will need to update your sites with this new auction.php in order for your affilite links/clicks to track properly with EPN.

This update nor the EPN changes affects phpBay Lite or versions of phpBay Pro prior to 3.x. If you are using those versions, there are no changes needed.

phpZon Pro for Wordpress 2.0

I spent four months updating the software with new features focused on ease of use, automated menu builders, focused search results, global and per page/post sidebar widget and many other new features. If you are still using version 1.x of the Wordpress version, now is a good time to download the latest version. If you have not purchased phpZon Pro for Wordpress, you are missing out on a great plugin that can really expand your affiliate marketing income!

I’m currently working on phpZon Pro API 2.0 and should be ready in a few weeks.

    ACRU -- a new, active confirmed registered user on eBay. That means an individual who: (a) registers for an eBay account for the first time; (b) becomes a Confirmed Registered User (CRU) by confirming his or her registration with an eBay-supplied password sent by email; (c) then becomes active by placing a bid or using BIN to purchase an item on eBay , all within 30 days of their original registration.

    CRU -- Confirmed Registered User

    GMB -- Gross Merchandise Bought. eBay sales generated by your EPN websites.
